Manufacturing Cost Intelligence
Where should you make it?
A continuous data foundation for manufacturing cost comparison — labour, electricity, tariffs, and freight indices across roughly 20 jurisdictions, refreshed on documented cadences. The Quick Checker UI that turns those feeds into a ranked landed-cost answer is in build and launches with the Pro plan. Built for procurement and category teams who need a defensible answer in seconds, not a six-week consultancy deck.
Status: data foundation shipped (nine collectors live). Cost engine and Quick Checker UI in build — early access for Pro Founding subscribers at launch.
What's shipped, what's coming
Eight cost lines, every source cited
The data foundation is live now — nine collectors continuously feeding labour, electricity, tariff, and freight values into the database. The Quick Checker UI that combines them into a ranked landed-cost answer launches with the Pro plan.
Live feeds (shipped)
ILOSTAT for labour. ENTSO-E and EIA for electricity. UK Trade Tariff, EU TARIC, US HTS for duties. Drewry WCI, SCFI, FBX for freight. Health endpoint: /v1/manufacture/sources/health.
~20 jurisdictions (shipped)
CN regions, VN, IN, MY, TH, MX, BR, CO, AR, TR, PL, PT, RO, CZ, DE, IT, ES, GB, US. Roadmap extends to every relevant manufacturing geography.
Five process families (shipped)
CNC machining, injection moulding, PCB SMT assembly, sheet metal fabrication, textile cut-and-sew — roughly 85% of consumer goods coverage.
Cost stack engine (in build)
Material, labour, electricity, capex amortisation, freight, tariff, CBAM, FX combined into a single landed-cost number per candidate jurisdiction. Phase 1.3.
CBAM modelling (in build)
For in-scope goods — cement, steel, aluminium, fertilisers, electricity, hydrogen — origin grid intensity × CBAM certificate price projected to import date.
Quick Checker UI (Pro launch)
Submit product, process, volume, target market. Get a ranked list with per-line confidence and exportable evidence trail. Ships with Pro Founding.
Plans at launch
Pro Founding gets early access

FAQ
Common questions
Procurement leads and category managers ask these most often.
What's actually shipped today?
Phase 1.2: nine collectors running on the WYRM Procure backend, continuously refreshing labour, electricity, tariff, and freight feeds across 20 jurisdictions and 5 process families. Feed status is live at /v1/manufacture/sources/health. The cost engine that combines those feeds into a ranked landed-cost answer (Phase 1.3) and the Quick Checker UI (Phase 1.4) are in build and launch with the Pro plan.
How will this differ from a freight calculator or tariff lookup at launch?
Freight calculators answer one line. Tariff lookups answer another. The Quick Checker is designed to fuse every line of the cost stack — material, labour, energy, capex, freight, tariff, CBAM, FX — into a single ranked decision with per-line confidence. The procurement question it answers is 'where should we make this?' rather than 'what does freight from Shenzhen to Felixstowe cost this week?'
What live data sources are already running?
ILOSTAT for labour. ENTSO-E (Europe) and EIA (rest of world) for electricity. UK Trade Tariff, EU TARIC, and US HTS for duties. Drewry WCI, SCFI, and FBX for freight. Each collector has documented cadences, calibration loops, and a public status endpoint at /v1/manufacture/sources/health.
When will CBAM modelling, rules of origin, and FTAs be supported?
CBAM modelling is in build with the cost engine and lands with the Pro launch. Full rules-of-origin checking and free-trade-agreement preference modelling are on the roadmap beyond launch — initial Quick Checker uses tariff lines under the most-favoured-nation rate.
