Agentic MEP / Design QA and recommendations

Turn a design finding into a reviewed correction

Find the issue, recommend a calculated correction and apply the reviewed change across drawings, schedules and documents.

Engineering review

Find the issue.
Recommend the fix.
Apply the fix.

See why a result needs attention and what to change. WYRM brings the recommendation back into the calculation and follows the impact across the design, ready for your engineer to review.

Illustrative review. Apply the recommendations to see the result.

Output under review

DB-2 distribution + AHU-1 ventilation · after the Level 3 layout change

  • Ib = 184 Aschedule of loads
  • Run 38 mcoordinated model
  • 150 occupantsrevised room data
  • Ambient 30 °CER §2.4

Gate 1: independent recompute

A separate engine recalculates every result. The maker never marks its own work.

DB-2 submain: volt drop

Recomputed 5.8% at the board: over the example 5% target

BS 7671 App 4, Table 4Ab

WYRM recommends

Uprate the submain 70 → 95 mm² (4-core SWA)

holds Ib = 184 A over the 38 m run at 4.3% volt drop

Protective device discrimination

Selectivity holds across the affected ways

BS 7671 §536.4

Gate 2: standards + coverage

Checks each output against its governing standard and that the change cascade left no discipline unchecked.

AHU-1 fresh air rate

1,200 l/s = 8 l/s·person at the revised 150 occupancy: below 10

Approved Doc F · BS EN 16798-1

WYRM recommends

Raise AHU-1 supply 1,200 → 1,500 l/s

10 l/s·person for the revised occupancy; duct velocity stays < 6 m/s

Change cascade coverage

Layout change propagated to 2 downstream disciplines, both checked again

Project Terminal

Held as a draft: 2 recommendations for your named engineer

Each recommendation includes the reason for the change and the supporting inputs. The calculation pack stays with the result. Your named engineer reviews and signs.

Engineer review required

Review the calculation basis

Check inputs, units, assumptions and the requirements used for the calculation. Keep the result connected to the project evidence so a reviewer can understand how the conclusion was reached.

Identify the issue

Bring attention to results that fall outside the relevant criteria or need further information. Separate a calculation problem from a missing input so the engineer can address the actual cause.

Recommend a specific fix

Present the proposed correction with its reason. A recommendation might change a cable selection, revisit an airflow rate or resolve a coordination conflict. The engineer decides whether it is suitable for the project.

Recheck the affected work

Review the result after the change and follow its consequences into related disciplines and deliverables. Keep the reviewed calculation, schedule and model information aligned before issue.

Example workflow

One layout change, two engineering consequences

Start with
Revised room occupancy, the equipment loads and the affected ventilation and electrical design.
Work towards
Review the new demands, inspect the proposed corrections and check the related calculations again. Give the engineer the updated information together for review.

Working with your team

Does WYRM recommend changes as well as flagging issues?

Yes. The workflow brings the finding together with a proposed correction and the engineering context needed to assess it. The interactive example shows how that review can work.

Are recommendations applied without engineering review?

The engineer retains the decision. Proposed changes are reviewed before they are applied to the design and issued as part of the project information.
