Agentic MEP / Electrical distribution
Carry the electrical demand through the design
Calculate demand, size cables and protection, and coordinate the distribution layout using installation conditions and manufacturer data.
Explore the workflowBuild the load assessment
Bring room uses, equipment duties, connected loads and agreed diversity assumptions into the assessment. Keep the basis of the demand visible as equipment and layouts change.
Size the distribution
Calculate cable sizes against design current, installation method, grouping and ambient conditions. Check voltage drop and fault protection using deterministic engineering methods, then carry the selected sizes and manufacturer device references into the distribution layout and schedules.
Coordinate protection and equipment
Check the relationship between protective devices and the circuits they serve. Review distribution board information, supply arrangements and the consequences of changing the load or the route.
Recommend a correction
When a check identifies a problem, bring a specific proposed change back to the engineer. Revisit the conductor size, protective device or design assumption, then update the related schedule and model information after review.
Example workflow
A load change on a distribution board
- Start with
- A revised equipment schedule, cable route, installation conditions and protective device information.
- Work towards
- Reassess the design current and voltage drop. Review the proposed cable or protection change alongside the distribution schedule before applying the agreed design update.
Working with your team
Who reviews the electrical design?
The engineer reviews calculation inputs, assumptions, results and proposed changes. WYRM supports that work and keeps the decision connected to the project information.
Can a change reach Revit and the schedules?
The electrical workflow connects to WYRM model updates and schedule creation. Review the affected elements and values before applying a change to the active project.
