Consider daylight contribution, orientation and glazing alongside electric lighting. Investigate glare and contrast where occupants work, and compare layout, shading and control options as the design develops.
Recommend and coordinate changes
An issue should lead to a useful next action: adjust luminaire spacing, revisit a fitting selection or review solar control. Carry the decision into the lighting layout, luminaire schedule and specification, then coordinate it with ceilings and other services.
